WILDFIRE

Eric Winter Television Projects - Wildfire

After serving jail time, troubled teen Kris Furillo (Genevieve Cortese) re-starts life on a horse ranch, where she proves her worth working with horses, especially the willful Wildfire.  She continues to wrestle with her past, upsetting the social dynamics of ranch owners the Ritter family and their neighbors, the cunning Davis family.  Both the Ritters' son Matt and the Davis's son Kenny "Junior" Davis fall for her, causing a wedge in their friendship. Meanwhile patriarch Ken Davis and his daughter Dani will do anything to run Kris out of town.

In the third season, Eric Winter plays bull rider R.J. Blake, who captures the heart of the cunning Dani Davis. But as soon as she changes Dani hurtful ways and embraces her softer side, R.J. is killed in a bull riding accident. "Wildfire" fans were devastated.

A sort of "Dawson's Creek" on a horse ranch, "Wildfire" embraced the themes of love, loyalty, and family. The series was shot in New Mexico and aired on ABC Family from 2005-2008. It was produced by Lions Gate Television and Piller Squared/The Segan Company.  Seasons 1 through 3 are available on DVD.
