MOONLIGHT
A private eye knows a lot about other people's secrets, but Los Angeles private eye Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin) has a secret of his own; he's a vampire. Forever 30 years of age, Mick is as handsome and charismatic as the day he was "turned," but he defies the traditional blood-sucking norms of his vampire tendencies. Instead, he uses his wit and powerful supernatural abilities to help the living.
Life as a vampire is isolating. Mick has only a handful of fellow vampires for company, including wealthy and mischievous Josef (Jason Dohring). He struggles with his attraction to a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), an investigative reporter whose life he saved many years ago.
Eric Winter plays Assistant District Attorney Benjamin Talbot, who presents a major obstacle for Mick: the ADA not only has a romantic eye on Beth, but he suspects Mick is not who he seems. Unfortunately, CBS officially cancelled "Moonlight" before fans could find out why Ben Talbot was keeping tabs on Mick, and what secret of his own he might be hiding.
Moonlight premiered on September 28, 2007, airing on Friday nights on CBS. Created by Ron Koslow and Trevor Munson, who also served as executive producers, the series was produced by Warner Bros. Television and Silver Pictures. Originally titled "Twilight," the project was renamed "Moonlight" when picked up by CBS. The complete first season is now available on DVD.
