    Roselyn Sanchez Celebrates Baby Shower

    Roselyn Sánchez Celebrates Baby Shower

Roselyn Sánchez looked pretty in purple as she celebrated her upcoming arrival — her daughter due in early January — at a baby shower hosted by Johnson’s Naturals on November 5 in Pasadena, Calif. The Rush Hour actress, 38, and husband Eric Winter welcomed family and close friends - including Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria - to the outdoor garden party.

Roselyn opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the intimate event, the "miracle" of pregnancy, her excitement about becoming a mother and her supportive husband who "cooks for [her] all the time."

The couple wanted the baby shower to be an intimate event, with a touch of class, glamor and lots of flowers. And it was a kid-friendly event as well! There was an entire section for children called the Kid's Corner. There was a lemonade stand, and brunch consisted of omelets and waffles. Guests later noshed on a delicious red velvet and vanilla cake.

Roselyn said the event was the perfect pre-baby gathering. The actress/model also talked about their daughter on-the-way and feeling "ready" for their upcoming arrival.

We've been wanting to be parents for awhile so we were completely ready for this new adventure and life changing experience," Roselyn said. "It has brought us much closer together as a married couple, partners for life and best friends. We know the intense responsibility and can't wait to start."

The beautiful brunette - who recently bared her baby bump on Imagen's cover - said her Days of our Lives alum husband is sure to be an "amazing" father.

"Eric is going to be an amazing dad," she gushed. "He's already an amazing son that loves his parents. Seeing and knowing that let's me know he'll be an outstanding father."

And it sounds like he's no slouch in the husband department either! "He supports me, cooks for me all the time, goes with me to all the doctor's appointments," she added.

The mom-to-be said the "miracle" of pregnancy has them both so excited.

Everything is exciting! Just knowing that I'm bringing life into this world is a miracle."

TNT Casts Eric Winter As Male Lead in Drama Pilot Scent Of The Missing

    http://www.shockya.com/news/wp-content/uploads/eric-winter.jpg

Eric Winter has been cast as Jake, the male lead in TNT’s new drama pilot ‘Scent Of The Missing,’ Deadline is reporting. The series, which is co-written and executive produced by Carol Mendelsohn, Melissa R. Byer and Treena Hancock, is based on the book by Susannah Charleson.

‘Scent Of The Missing’ will follow Susannah, to be played by Tricia Helfer, a strong-willed K-9 Search and Rescue volunteer who works with her mischievous golden retriever, Puzzle. Jake is part of the search and rescue team as well, with his dog Shadow.

Winter joins ‘Scent Of The Missing’ after having a major recurring role on CBS’ ‘The Mentalist’ last season. He also has a recurring role on ABC’s upcoming mid-season dramedy ‘Good Christian Belles,’ and recently shot the indie film ‘Fire With Fire’ with Josh Duhamel and Bruce Willis.

Eric Winter Cast In TNT's Scent Of The Missing

Eric Winter Cast In TNT's Scent Of The Missing image

TNT has cast the male lead for their new drama Scent of the Missing, one of the many new projects from CSI showrunner Carol Mendelsohn soon to hit the small screen. Actor Eric Winter will star opposite Tricia Helfer, although both will have to battle two yet-to-be-cast four legged co-stars for their viewer’s affection.

The series is based on the Susannah Charleston true-life book about a devoted K-9 search and rescue volunteer and her canine companion. Tricia Helfer has already been cast as the lead, and sorry Susannah, but I think she’s going to rock the uniform a little better than you did. Her partner, a golden retriever named Puzzle is a dedicated rescue dog in the finest Lassie tradition who is of course also adorable and impish.

Eric Winter will play another member of the search and rescue team Deadline reported today, and of course he gets a four-legged sidekick too by the name of Shadow. Winter is fresh off a memorable stint on The Mentalist and is currently appearing in a recurring role on the ABC series Good Christian Belles. The ex-Tommy Hilfiger model will no doubt look just as good in his uniform. Those dogs had better be really cute.

Charleston’s book tells the tale of the training of a search and rescue dog and gives a glimpse into the often heart-breaking, sometimes triumphant world of the search and rescue teams who go into often hopeless situations in the hopes of bringing the lost out alive. Let’s hope that the series can stay true to the heart of the tale and TNT gives us a story-driven show that isn’t just pretty people and adorable dogs making it look easy.

[Source: Deadline]

He will play Luke, the handsome brother of Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth). He is the black sheep of the family due to the fact that he is a Green Democrat. It is said he could be a possible love interest for Amanda.

    Eric Winter lands FOX pilot

http://www.accidentalsexiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/ericwinter.jpgJust as The Mentalist viewers are tuning in to see if there will be a wedding or funeral in store for Eric Winter's (ex-Rex DiMera) FBI agent character on the show, Winter lands a role in FOX's pilot Weekends at Bellevue. Winter's agreement to play a sexy attendant in Bellevue's ER could be a clue to how The Mentalist's anticipated season finale might unfold.

Producers of The Mentalist hinted to TV Guide that wedding invitations will be mailed out for FBI agent Craig O'Laughlin's nuptials, and there might even be a rehearsal dinner. Amanda Righetti, who plays the bride-to-be, predicts the wedding will go "all sorts of wrong;" however, producers deny that Winter's character will be revealed as their serial killer, Rex John. If the wedding falls through, and Winter leaves the show, Amanda figures her character will return to Rigsby, her former lover.

Eric Winter's new venture, Weekends at Bellevue, is slated to be an hour-long show based off Julie Holland's same-titled memoirs of her own experiences while practicing at Bellevue. The TV adaptation will tell the dramas of a psychiatrist in charge of the weekend shift at Bellevue Hospital's psychiatric unit. Though NBC initially declined the pilot, FOX suspects it will live up to Holland's thrilling and uncanny experiences with her patients.

Weekends at Bellevue will be produced by FOX, though no airdate has been announced.

Eric Winter: Will Vows Be Exchanged on The Mentalist?

As we head into the final stretch of The Mentalist season, one thing is clear: the finale will feature a wedding... or a funeral.

Yes, Grace continues to plan her nuptials to Craig, but star Amanda Righetti tells TV Guide she truly has no idea whether the pair will make it down the aisle or not. Her best guess?

"It's going to end all sorts of wrong."

    Van Pelt and Craig O'Laughlin

Previews executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi: "As the season draws to an end, the wedding day looms. You're going to see invitations handed out with interesting ramifications, and possibly even a rehearsal dinner."

A resolution will take place prior to the summer hiatus, with many fans thinking Craig will fall victim to Red John. The status of actor Eric Winter plays a big role in that prediction.

"I haven't heard Eric's coming back next season, and he hasn't, either," Righetti says. "So when you put all the pieces together, maybe something really bad's going to happen to him... And she'll run back to Rigsby."

Eric Winter: Keck's Exclusives - The Mentalist Wedding or Funeral?

Will The Mentalist's Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) make it down the aisle with FBI agent Craig O'Laughlin (Eric Winter) by season's end? The show will keep fans — and third wheel Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) — guessing all the way through May's two-hour, Red John-themed finale.http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/110314/News/1_mon/110314mag-mentalist-first-look1.jpg

"As the season draws to an end, the wedding day looms," teases executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi, who promises a resolution before the summer break. "You're going to see invitations handed out with interesting ramifications, and possibly even a rehearsal dinner." Amanda claims even she hasn't been told if the wedding will go down, though strongly suspects, "It's going to end all sorts of wrong."

Szentgyorgyi shoots down fan speculation that O'Laughlin will be revealed as serial killer Red John. "Anyone as good-looking as this guy has no need to slaughter women and paint their toenails with blood," says the exec.

But that doesn't mean the groom can't be taken out by Red John, as Amanda fears. "I haven't heard Eric's coming back next season, and he hasn't, either," she says. "So when you put all the pieces together, maybe something really bad's going to happen to him...  And she'll run back to Rigsby."

    Q&A with Eric Winter

Q and A: Week of Jan. 24 Q: I love the show "The Mentalist," and I especially love the addition of Agent Craig O'Laughlin. What can you tell me about the actor who portrays him (I could swear I've seen him a movie recently), and will his romance with Grace Van Pelt continue? — Lydia G., via e-mail

A: Eric Winter, 34, plays the dashing young FBI agent on the hit CBS show. Previously, Eric was best known for his work on "Days of Our Lives," "Moonlight" and "Brothers and Sisters." The recent movie you're referring to is "The Ugly Truth," with Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl, which Eric said was a thrill to work on.

"That was just a huge opportunity that (director) Robert Luketic and Lakeshore gave me," he told me recently. "And it was really awesome; I had such a blast working with those guys. And my relationship with Katie (Heigl) and Gerry (Butler) was a ton of fun. It was a huge opportunity. It was kind of a fun, vulgar romantic comedy — it changes up from the normal romantic-comedy pace that you're used to."

As far as O'Laughlin's relationship with Van Pelt: "From what I understand, they plan on doing a slow burn. Whatever happens between the two of us is definitely going to play its course. But there's a lot to do with my character aside from that relationship. I'm not in the writing room, so I don't know. But I know they have it well worked out, and they've been great with me so far."

    Interview: Eric Winter, Pt. 1

    http://img.likecinema.net/images/movie/player/Eric_Winter_1279905084.jpgBy CINDY ELAVSKY

When Eric Winter decided to leave “Days of Our Lives” back in 2006 (after playing Rex DiMera since 2002), neither he nor I could have guessed where his career would take him in the four years since. Eric has been working nonstop in film and television since his daytime television experience, and when I got the chance to catch up with him recently, he filled me in on his days since “Days."

Daytime Dial: Last we spoke, CBS had just canceled the Hugh Jackman-produced nighttime drama “Viva Laughlin,” which I absolutely loved . But after that, you got an even bigger break when you were cast on “Brothers & Sisters.” Tell me about working on that show.

Eric Winter: That show was a lot of fun to work on. They were very welcoming. It was a great atmosphere there. And with that many heavy-hitters, you never know what you’re gonna get. And it was just really pleasant.

DD: What did you like best about the show and your character, Jason McCallister?

EW: I think with my character, it was a cool thing to explore. Here’s a guy who is openly gay but he’s a minister and fights for things he believes in. It was an interesting dynamic that his brother is a very conservative Republican (Robert McCallister, played by Rob Lowe) who’s running for office. There were a lot of good social, economic and cultural differences that were expressed through there.

DD: More important, is Rob Lowe just as dreamy in person as he is on TV?

    EW: (Laughter) He’s a good-looking guy.

Obviously, for me, I wouldn’t say dreamy, but he’s a very handsome guy.

    And just really, really cool.

DD: After that, you were in “Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay,” which is a complete 180 from your role on “B&S.

EW: I thought that this sequel – and not just because I was in it – was so damn funny because it just pushes the envelope with so many things. It racially offended everybody.

It was sexist ... it was everything.

They just got in everyone’s face, and it was so funny and so well written and well directed. That was just a blast.

DD: After that you were in “Moonlight,” which still has an incredible cult following. How was that show to work on?

EW: That was a fun show too. I would have loved to have the chance to do a lot of the vampiretype stuff and mess around with all the effects but we never got to dive into that part of my character. That was something they were talking about doing the next season and then the show got canceled. So, we never really know what would have happened to my character and ultimately what his motivation was.

DD: Yes, it seems nowadays that networks aren’t giving shows that much of a chance to really develop, grow and build their audience ...

EW: It might not have been a nice hit for the CBS audience but the ones who loved it loved it and I think CBS was ahead of its time on two shows in the same year – and that was “Viva Laughlin” and “Moonlight.

    Eric Winter on "The Mentalist"

    Eric Winter

It’s a crazy, jam-packed night on The Mentalist. The fate of psychic Kristina Frye (Leslie Hope) - abducted last season by serial slayer Red John - will at last be revealed. Malcolm McDowell returns as messianic cult leader Bret Stiles, who appears to be involved in the suspicious death of one of his female followers. (He might even be Red John!) And a major love affair gets underway.

Towering heartthrob Eric Winter (Brothers & Sisters) joins the cast as Craig O’Loughlin, a former NFL sensation-turned-FBI man who’ll work with the CBI team on the Stiles case. O’Loughlin quickly sparks with the stunning Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) when they bond over football (her dad was a highly respected coach). And that’ll light a fire under Van Pelt’s ex-beau Rigsby (Owain Yeoman). "This is a triangle that will develop slowly through the year and eventually force Rigsby to stand up for his passions," says creator Bruno Heller.

But Winter has no plans to be the bad guy: "O’Loughlin is not a jerk and he’s not breaking up anything," says Winter. "Rigsby and Van Pelt ended their affair because it was against CBI rules. She’s fair territory." And there’s an ulterior motive to playing nice. "Hey, I wanna stay on this show!" he says. "I intend to be a guy the audience roots for!"
